Sample Registration
Patient and test registration, barcode label printing, container labelling and collection-centre-wise tracking.
Barcode sample tracking, direct analyzer capture, structured result entry and automated report delivery — so your technicians spend their time on testing rather than transcription.
The two things that slow a pathology lab down are almost always the same: samples that cannot be reliably matched to the right patient, and results that have to be typed by hand from an analyzer printout into a report template. Both cost time, and both are where errors creep in.
Care Matrix LIS puts a barcode on the sample at the point of collection and follows it through accessioning, processing, result entry, validation and dispatch. Where your analyzers support it, results flow directly into the patient's record instead of being read off a printout, and out-of-range values are flagged the moment they arrive.
Reports are generated from templates you control — your letterhead, your reference ranges, your signatory — and delivered the way patients actually want them: a WhatsApp message or an email with a PDF, rather than a return trip to the collection centre.

Department-wise worklists, pending sample views, rerun and repeat handling, and turnaround-time monitoring.
Bi-directional interfacing with supported laboratory analyzers so results post directly against the correct sample.
Structured entry with reference ranges by age and sex, automatic abnormal flagging, and pathologist authorisation before release.
Your letterhead, cumulative reports, historical comparison, digital signature and multi-language report options.
Automatic dispatch by WhatsApp, email or SMS link the moment a report is authorised, with a delivery log.
Single-location labs that need faster turnaround and professional reports without hiring more data entry staff.
Collection centres feeding a central processing lab, with branch-wise accounting and a single patient history.
In-house labs that need to receive orders from the hospital's OPD and IPD and post results straight back to the patient file.
In most cases, yes. Analyzers that expose a standard serial or network interface — which covers the great majority of biochemistry, haematology and immunoassay machines in use — can be interfaced. During the pre-deployment survey we list your machines and confirm which can be connected directly and which will need manual entry. We do not charge extra per analyzer connected.
Yes. Once a pathologist authorises a report, the system can send it automatically as a PDF over WhatsApp, by email, or as an SMS containing a secure download link. You choose which channels to enable, and each dispatch is logged so you can prove a report was sent.
Yes. Report templates are configured to your letterhead, layout, reference ranges, footer disclaimers and signatory blocks during setup. Different departments can use different templates, and you can change them later without going back to us.
Every sample gets a barcode at registration, and every subsequent step — accessioning, processing, result entry — is done by scanning that barcode rather than typing a name. A result cannot be posted against a sample that was not scanned into that stage.
The system maintains the audit trails, turnaround-time records, quality control logs and validation history that NABL assessors typically ask for. It supports your accreditation effort but does not by itself make a lab NABL accredited — that remains a process and quality matter for your team.
Every module works on its own and works better together — they share one patient record and one set of reports.
